Intellectual Elite Sarah Palin Saves Trump’s Campaign
Jan. 21, 2016
Donald Trump’s campaign for 2016 Republican Presidential Nominee has been one of the most interesting and, thanks to the internet, mocked campaigns in American history. Many have taken to the web launching attacks on his character, intelligence, ability to lead, and the validity of his claim that he is a human being with emotions and free will. Well here comes someone who hasn’t had any of those premises attacked to the rescue: philosopher and scholar Sarah Palin.
While Palin may have a spotless record as far as being ridiculed on the internet goes, she does have a few things in common with Trump. They both had their own television programs, have had failed campaigns for office in the past, and have catchphrases that relate to the termination of employment. Trump’s was of course “You’re fired” and Palin’s catchphrase as Governor of Alaska was “I quit”.
Palin’s endorsement gives the Trump campaign the intellectual facelift that it has so desperately needed in the last leg of this race for nomination. She’s best known for her poetic delivery of deep and decisive thoughts that display her eloquence and depth of knowledge. For example, when asked what newspapers or magazines she reads, she responded, “All of ‘em, any of ‘em that have been in front of me over all these years.” Palin’s even gone as far as to coin a new term: “refudiate”. Her response to criticism was a smack in the face to the opposition and was tweeted as follows: “‘Refudiate,’ ‘misunderestimate,’ ‘wee-wee’d up.’ English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!” Her endorsement of Trump was also filled with plenty of witty truth nuggets just like these.
What makes Palin’s endorsement so important is that she is the everyday, average, normal American. She represents all of us and goes through what we all go through, which is the living examples of our flawed policies being played out in front of our eyes like a cosmic slap to the face. Whether it be our daughter who preaches abstinence as the only acceptable form of birth control birthing her second child, or our son using the very firearm we fight so hard to protect the rights of in a domestic abuse incident. We’ve all been there. Thanks for stepping up and saying what we were all thinking Sarah Palin. Say hello to your close friend Putin for us!
